Walkthrough (Feature Introduction)
What is the walk-through function?
This refers to the ability to move freely within the virtual space that has been created.
Movement is not like jumping from point to point; you can move to any point in space and stop there, just like walking in the real world.
Viewed from a first-person perspective, you can walk and move around the space, looking up and down as well as moving your gaze to the ceiling or floor.
You can move closer or farther away, so you can get closer to an area you want to see in detail, or move away if you want an overview.
Differences from panoramic photos
This is about the difference between what is called panoramic VR and walk-through VR space.
Panorama takes pictures of the interior of a room with a 360-degree camera, and you can view the interior from any angle from the point where the picture was taken. You cannot move freely around the room (space), and you can only view the interior from each point where the photographer took the picture. For this reason, when moving around the room, you fly between points, and you cannot stop at any point along the way.
In a walk-through VR space, the space itself is constructed and you enter into it, so there is no concept of a specific location from which the footage was taken, and you can view the interior from any point.
